Kay Moriah International School Of Beauty is a full-service beauty school that caters to students in and around Northwest Indiana. We offer a wide range of beauty courses, but we specialize in textured hair and skin conditions. For us, it’s not just about helping you improve your craft. We want you to be able to succeed in your chosen career, whether you’re in a salon, spa, or beauty school.

Can I start Beauty School even if I'm still in high school?... Yes, you can!!!

Imagine getting out of high school and already having a career... Well now you can! 

State law requires that you must be 17 - 18 years old with a high school diploma (or equivalent) in order to take State Board tests. With that in mind, Kay Moriah is proud to open it's doors to teens starting at ages 16 for evening courses in Cosmetology, Barber, Esthetics and Manicuring! This will allow teens to do their program of choice while still finishing high school!

We set schedules ensuring that you already have your diploma by the end of your program so you can go and take your State Board and get your license right away!

Graduated early and already have your diploma or an equivalent? What are you waiting for? Get in here! Once you have your diploma, you are eligible to take your State Board! All you need is to enroll and start class!

Admissions

Kay Moriah International School Of Beauty is committed to quality admissions practices. Our school does not discriminate on the basis of race, creed, or color.

  • You must have a high school diploma or equivalent in order to take State Board tests (state-mandated).
    *If you do not have a high school diploma or equivalent, KMISB has partnered with Midwest Elite Preparatory Academy that offers an independent program that allows you to receive your high school diploma while in beauty school.*
  • You must be at least 16 years of age in order to enroll in Cosmetology, Barber, Esthetics and Manicurists courses (See above panel on age requirements for details).
  • Apply to Kay Moriah International School of Beauty. The admission application fee is $50.

  • The $150 enrollment fee is nonrefundable.

  • The Learning Style Assessment Test is required.
  • If vaccinated, you may present a copy of your COVID-19 vaccination certificate.
  • Acceptance will be based on the criteria above.
  • You must present a valid ID and proof of US citizenship (driver’s license, US passport, birth certificate, and social security).

  • There will be a $50 PayPal payment for admissions application.
