Our programs for licensure offers beauty career opportunities in cosmetology, barber, esthetics, instructors, and manicuring. It also provides opportunities to educator instructors and barber instructors.

Kay Moriah International School of Beauty is a school of diversity that caters to everyone in and around Northwest Indiana and Chicagoland areas, regardless of race, creed, or ethnic background. It was founded by Rolonda Bartnicki, a licensed nail technician for more than 19 years and a licensed beauty culture instructor. She has a passion for the beauty industry, and she desires to provide career opportunities to those who also have a passion for the beauty culture.

Biography

Rolonda Bartnicki, Owner

Rolonda has been a part of the beauty industry for more than 20 years. During those years, she has also been a part of the educational system, teaching secondary education.

She received a bachelor’s degree from Indiana University Northwest. She was also close to receiving her master’s degree in secondary education history when she decided to open up her nail salon, Kay Moriah Nail Spa. It was located in Crown Point, Indiana. Kay Moriah Nail Spa was only open for 1 year because Rolonda realized her true dream and purpose.

After receiving her nail technician license in the state of Illinois in 2005, she had a desire. She was inspired by her nail instructor, Royan Williams of Chicago Nail School in Illinois, to open a nail school. But she never pursued it. Rolonda worked with her oldest sister, Ronda Payne, the owner and administrator of Midwest Elite Preparatory Academy in Indiana.

Seeing her older sister, she was inspired and encouraged to step out and fulfill her desire. However, after opening Kay Moriah Nail Spa, she began to see how beneficial not only a nail school but a full-service beauty school would be to many people around her, especially young high-school students and graduates.

Rolonda decided to open a beauty school that allows her to be more creative and have more freedom to help draw out the creativity in her students. At the same time, it allows her to educate them more in their craft.
